Bowen Island

weekend retreat at Bowen island. clean up my soul.
バンクーバーの喧噪から離れて、静寂の中での生活は心が浄化されるようでした。
シティに戻ってきてすぐにもとの俗物に戻っちゃったけどね。：P　
心いやされる週末でした。

on sunday afternoon, bike ride to broadway and mcdonald area.
i had my favorite ...time that i call "sketch at cafe" with my BF.

and we had big thai food after. made me so happy.

Art Full Sunday

久しぶりのアート学校の仕事。日曜の朝から早起きをして身なりを整えて出勤。

朝からエスプレッソを２杯飲んでも、眠気がとれない。。。

今日の授業は、５歳、６歳のこどもにMacでデジタルアートを教えるというもの。初めてコンビを組むコーエン先生、教え方が上手。やさしいものごしがこどもに人気だ。いろいろ学べるなー。

授業の途中のスナックタイムでこどもたちとピングーのビデオを見たりと、ちっちゃい子たちのクラスはけっこーメローで好き。

コンピュータークラスを２クラス終えて、お昼を食べる。中庭でおにぎりを食べるわたしを、通る人が不思議そうに見ている。やはり、ランチと言えばこっちの人はサンドイッチなのだろう。

午後は親子でアート体験ができる”Art Full Sunday”というクラス。いつも定員いっぱいのこのクラス、今日はバンクーバーマラソンの日でもあるので、親子の参加者は１組。

Visual Artsのステファニー先生が

”今日は楽ね〜。kaoriも絵を描いて楽しんでいいよ”と言うので

お言葉に甘えて楽しんでみました。

パステルでオレンジちゃんとライオンの双子を描いてみました。


今日はよく働いたな〜：）

傷だらけ

my favorite cat, TOTO.

he has lots scar on his face and body. but he looks so proud of that.

けんかばっかりしているけれど、とっても繊細なこころやさしー猫です。

すんごい傷だらけで帰ってきてびっくりするけど、泣き言ひとつ言わない。

かっちょいー。

New Painting

just finished paint big canvas related to animation project.
it's my favorite but can't hold so many big paintings in my little room.

move to big place or sell it. which can be happening soon !?

でっかいキャンバスを仕上げたのはいいけれど、部屋が狭すぎるので仕事をするごとに、キャンバスを移動させる始末。

早く大きな部屋にひっこしたいなぁ。もしくは絵が、がんがん売れるといいなぁ。
もっとアグレッシブに、展覧会を開かないといけないなと思う今日この頃。

today was beautiful day to ride a bike.

took a seawall to go to Stanley park.

it refresh my thought and spirit.

Last weekend we had the Year of the Rabbit opening at GR2 and it was a FANTASTIC evening. West LA Animal Services got us started with dog and cat adoptions. Two adult dogs were adopted that night - one who had been sitting in the shelter for 4 months and wasn't going to get much longer. Tons of towels for the shelter animals were donated, and will hopefully continue to be donated!

Art sales were great, and we got SO many compliments on the breadth and quality of work on the gallery walls. Thank you for being a part of it!
